How we can help you deal with financial abuse

Financial abuse can be hard to talk about, but please reach out to see what we can do to support you and help you regain control of your finances.

Ways we can support you

The support we can offer will vary depending on your circumstances and what’s happening to you and your finances. It can include:

Keeping you safe

We have different security features to help protect your accounts and we also have online resources to help you recognise fraud and scams.

Separate accounts

We can help you set up new accounts that are separate from any joint accounts you may have with the person who’s been financially abusing you.

Contact details

We can change your address or contact details, to make sure your bank statements and letters are coming straight to you. Where possible, we can arrange to send your bank communications to you via email.

Account access

We can confirm who has the right to access or operate your accounts and make sure you're still comfortable for them to have that power. Find out more about how a power of attorney works.
