How it works
-
Set up your own personal payees so that you can easily make regular payments to family or friends.
-
Pay your bills straight away or set up a payment for a future date. Bill payments give you control so you can set payments for a day when you know you'll have the funds in your account.
-
Use mobile, internet or phone banking to make payments.
Managing your payment
- To set up a bill payment, you’ll need the bank details of the company, charity, or person you want to pay. Follow our step-by-step instructions on how to make a payment in our mobile app and internet banking.
- If you don't use internet banking, you can call us on 0800 11 33 55 to make a payment or visit your nearest Kiwibank.
- To add or delete bill payments at any time – just log in to internet banking or give us a call.
Service fees apply for bill payments set up over the phone or in person. Bill payments are only for payments within New Zealand. If you'd like to make an international payment, check out our international services.
Avoid failed payments
Sometimes, for whatever reason, you may not have enough money in your account to cover a payment, which can result in your payment failing.
- If you’re setting up future bill payments, you need to make sure there’s enough money in your account on the day to cover the payment. We recommend that you set up any payments to go out the day after you normally get paid.
