Cancel your Visa Debit or EFTPOS card within the mobile app
- Log in to the mobile app.
- Tap 'Cards' at the bottom of the screen.
- Choose the card you want to cancel.
- Tap 'Cancel this card'.
- Click 'Yes' to confirm you'd like to cancel that card.
If you don't have the mobile app, contact us or visit your nearest Kiwibank to arrange to cancel your card.

Update your regular payments
If you currently have any regular payments from this card such as subscriptions, contact the business/organisation directly to change or cancel the payment. Cancelling your card may not stop regular payments if the business/organisation isn't notified.

Destroy your card
Once you've cancelled your card it's important to remember to destroy your old card by cutting it in half to help avoid any fraudulent activity linked to the card.

Complete a credit card update form
To permanently close your Kiwibank Credit Card complete an update form. For this you'll need your:
- Kiwibank access number
- Kiwibank Credit Card number
Once you've gathered this information:
- Fill in our Credit card update form.
- Email the completed form to applications@kiwibank.co.nz.
