Services for importers and exporters
Import letters of credit
We can hold your payment for goods that you're importing until your supplier sends us documents proving they've shipped the goods.
Import collections
With an import collection, your supplier gets their bank to send us documents proving that they’ve shipped the goods you’ve ordered and asks us to collect payment on their behalf.
Trade finance loans
Trade finance loans are short-term borrowing facilities that can help fund cash flow through the trade cycle. Get in touch with our business banking team to talk about how a trade finance loan could work for you.
Export letters of credit
If you're shipping goods internationally, your buyer can issue a letter of credit through their bank. Their bank will guarantee payment, but won't make the payment until you've sent documents proving the goods are on the way.
Export collections
If you're sending goods to a buyer, you can ask us to send documents proving that you've shipped the goods to the buyer's bank, and ask the buyer's bank to collect payment for you.
