Logging in just got easier and safer. With biometric login enabled on your device, logging into your online banking is as simple as a scan and you're in.

What's a biometric login?

With biometric authentication, your unique biological traits, such as your fingerprint or face, are used to confirm it's you accessing your account. It's like unlocking your phone with your fingerprint or face but for your bank account.

We highly recommend keeping this feature enabled if your device supports it. Depending on your device, you can use Touch ID, Face ID or fingerprint to log in securely.

Apple Pay and Google Pay users

You'll need to set up a biometric login, and a security code to use Apple Pay and Google Pay.

  • Don't activate biometric login for your accounts if someone else has their face or fingerprint registered on your device.
  • If the biometrics stored on your device are changed, we'll automatically disable your biometrics on your account. You can turn it on again by following the steps provided in 'Help with setting up your biometric login' on this page.

Update your device settings

To use this feature in our mobile banking app, you must enable biometric login in your device settings. If the biometrics stored on your device change, we automatically disable your biometric login in the mobile app.

I've just downloaded the mobile app, how do I enable my biometric login?

  1. Open our mobile app and enter your access number and password
  2. Answer your KeepSafe question
  3. Enter the verification code you've received via SMS on your mobile
  4. Toggle biometrics on (Touch ID and Face ID for iOS or fingerprint for Android)
  5. Select a 4-digit security code and re-enter it to confirm
  6. Success! You will land on your accounts screen after setting up your security code.

I skipped setting up my biometric login during my initial app setup, how do I set it up now?

  1. Log in to our mobile app
  2. Select 'More' at the bottom of your screen, then go to 'Settings'
  3. Go to 'Security'
  4. For iOS, select 'Log in with Face ID' or 'Log in with Touch ID' or for Android, select 'Log in with fingerprint'
  5. Answer your KeepSafe question
  6. Turn the toggle on for 'Log in with Face ID' or 'Log in with Touch ID' or 'Log in with fingerprint'
  7. Click 'Accept and continue'
  8. Complete the biometric scan in the format you've enabled (Touch ID and Face ID for iOS or fingerprint for Android)
  9. That's it! You've enabled biometric login on your device.
