The New Zealand Superannuation Fund and the Accident Compensation Corporation today announced their appointments to the Board of Kiwibank.
It follows the announcement in October that the NZ Super Fund and ACC had finalised their investment in Kiwi Group Holdings Limited, the owner of Kiwibank.
The NZ Super Fund has appointed Auckland-based advertising and marketing specialist Kevin Malloy to the Board of Kiwibank. Mr Malloy has had an extensive career in New Zealand and overseas, including 29 years with global media agency Starcom in roles including Global Client Director for both Coca-Cola and P&G. Mr Malloy is currently on the Boards of TVNZ, the Halberg Trust, the Graeme Dingle Foundation and St Peter’s College Auckland.
The ACC Board has appointed ACC Chief Executive Scott Pickering to the Board of Kiwibank. Prior to joining ACC in May 2013, Mr Pickering held senior regional leadership and CEO roles in the insurance industry for Willis, Royal & Sun Alliance (RSA), ACE Insurance and CIGNA in Africa, Asia, Europe and Australasia. He is also a board member of Chubb Insurance in both New Zealand and Australia.
Kevin and Scott will join recently-appointed independent directors Mike O’Donnell and Susan Macken on the Kiwibank Board, along with NZ Post-appointed director Jane Taylor.
