Kiwibank mobile banking app launched

11/05/2012

Kiwibank has released its mobile banking app for iPhones. The app is part of a suite of online innovations which the bank says will change how customers bank online.

It features optional fast-access 4 digit PIN log-in; mobile KeepSafe enhanced security; account history and future payments; transfers; bill and other payments and offers the unique feature of an online relationship manager.

Kiwibank’s Head of Online, Peter Fletcher-Dobson, said: “We’ve innovated the traditional banking model so we can offer our personal banking online customers a relationship manager they can interact with via desktop and now mobile.

“All customers who download the app will get their own online relationship manager – and we plan to have the service rolled out to all online customers later this year.”

“Through the app we’ve put our online relationship managers literally in the palm of our customer’s hand.”

The app follows the beginning of the rollout of Kiwibank’s redesigned website that is using the latest in responsive design to work across multiple devices.

Fletcher-Dobson said: “Our app has been beautifully designed and gives super-fast access to all the info you need to manage your everyday finances. With the online relationship manager we’re putting a real person at the heart of our online offering for every customer.”

An Android app will be available in the next few months.
